Great!

So, I was assigned to read this book as a social studies assignment since I was going to have a upcoming test on it. I was too lazy to read so I decided to take the easy way out, hear the audiobook version. Overall, I was glad this was assigned to me since in the end, I really ended up loving it. At first, it's good but not the best since it's a bit hard memorising who is who. But eventually, you start to realize that this story is amazing. I recommend it even if you hate plays/ dramas. Tartuffe 9/10

Wonderful!

Any additional comments?

Who knew that a play written in the late 1600's would be so pertinent for today, and entertaining!
My son & I listened thru this together for a English high school course he is doing - so pleased they included this title!!

Required Reading

Had to read this for a class. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. The voices did good and helped me to understand it better. Their inflection and energy really added to the story.

a French classic lives again! Beautifully acted.

I enjoyed this production immensely. Well worth a second - a third hearing. Features the dangers of tittle-tattle in clever poetry. Funny and edifying.

An excellent story, perfectly played

The full cast brought to life this fabulous translation, preserving all of the earnest wit of Molière's original play.

Brilliant!

Overall brilliantly written and well acted. My only gripe would be with the contrived, dues ex machina, ending. Though likely par for the course for the time it was written I can't say I wasn't let down. Shakespeare is still the master in this regard.

Class Assignment.

I enjoy good satire, and found Tartuffe to be a deliciously sarcastic treatment of religious hypocrisy.
