Was I listening to the same series as the 5 stars?
I tried, I really did. First the virtual narration is awful. Inflection and any emotion in the text is completely lacking. The stories have the typical beginning, arc and ending. I think if the narration was actually what it should be I would have enjoyed them. There were funny moments in the text but the narration didn't have any change in tone at all. It's like listening to someone reading an instruction manual. To the author, spend the money on a human if you want to have audible books.

Is this an abridged version?
I’m not going to address the AI voice. I was disappointed in the stories. I listened to all of book one and 4 chapters of book 2. The story starts out good and then character development stops. These could have been great characters had there been more work put into developing them.
