Publisher's summary

When 11th grader April Corrigan learns that her unassuming father has been working undercover for the FBI, she is shocked. But when she is told that she and her family must take on other identities and move to a faraway state under the Federal Witness Security Program, she feels everything familiar slipping away. Soon she has a new name, and she lives with a new fear that is more powerful than anything she has felt before. Every stranger could be a threat; every minute could be the one that exposes April and her family to the deadly, dark-eyed man who has begun to follow them. Danger is everywhere.

Lois Duncan, the author of 40 best-selling books for young adults, is considered a master of suspense. Once Alyssa Bresnahan’s dramatic narration of Don’t Look Behind You begins, you’ll be held in its compelling grip until the final, thrilling chapter.

Audience Fav

Where does Don't Look Behind You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

DLBY by L. Duncan is a great high interest accessible book for readers. I would place it in the top 20 books I have listened to with my students.

What other book might you compare Don't Look Behind You to and why?

Holes by L. Sachaar. Holes has clear heroes who must persist with difficult situations and conflicts. It has a strong sense of family too.

Which character – as performed by Alyssa Bresnahan – was your favorite?

My favorite character is April's Dad. He realized what he had missed in life, and was honest about it. He took the chance and although the whole family had hardship and thankfully remained safe, Dad had his moment of greatness.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

A story of mystery, hit men, and mayhem.

bad audio doesn't work

The audio for the book doesn't work I had played for the audio and download it but all I get is the one minute sample. Save your money for the Gucci gang album instead that how much it doesn't work! So Audible step up your game.

Recommended For: Nobody

The protagonist in the story is a selfish brat who sees herself as a princess. She’s not only selfish and annoying, but she’s not intelligent or intuitive. I found myself calling her an idiot throughout the entire reading. The father is a total moron and the trouble he brought upon the family is second only to the idiotic acts of the protagonist.
I don’t recommend this book to anyone. My 15 year old was made to listen to this and report on it. He didn’t like it either.
I’m annoyed just thinking about the books characters.

Horrible: Do Not Listen

My daughter had to listen to this book for a book report. It was so boring and the main character only thinks of herself. There is no point to the book. Also, the person reading is very boring. Save yourself the trouble and find a different book.
