Publisher's summary

Having spent over 20 years in the adult entertainment industry, I have grown tired of the typical ill adjusted, drug addicted stripper story. Contrary to the reigning stereotype, I offer a candid look at my own adventures in the industry and how it has affected my life. I present my memoirs as a rebuttal to the talk show depiction of exotic dancers as chemically challenged, poorly disguised prostitutes with severe daddy and body image issues.

Starting with my childhood, I recount the experiences I had and what led to my choice to become a stripper. I recall the funny, sad, and sometimes gross moments in my career. I try to answer all the questions most people ask me once they've had a few too many drinks and finally give in to their curiosity about my naughty job.

How can the life of stripper be so relatable to a 40 year old man?

Never would i have imagined that the life of a career stripper could be so relatable. While listening, I was regularly imagining myself in 'Erin's' shoes, and thinking I would either have done the same thing or had the same opinion. Erin's story is important, because it reminds us that no matter who we are, or what path in life we choose, at the end of the day, we are all human, and we all go through struggles, missteps, and misfortunes, and just try to do the best we can given the circumstances. It's how so many of us can take vastly different paths through life and still share in so many world views about religion, and politics, and moral compass.

How often do we look at someone's profession and pigeon hole them to that choice? I've known really dumb teachers and doctors. I've known really smart pot heads and drop outs. We all need to be reminded to just take the time to get to know someone and look for the things that make us similar.

Also, we really need to stop making sex work a taboo. It would make it safer for the people that work in the industry.
