Publisher's summary

This fight has always been my destiny.

In a previous life, I had run from it, and that choice was the death of me. That mistake went down in history, becoming a story that haunted my people for centuries.

I won’t run this time. I’ve regrouped, collected my allies, and sheltered my people. Now, I go hunting. I can’t rest until my people are safe. I can’t stop until the ones we lost are avenged.

Standing beside me, always, is Raphael, Warlord of the Cambions. I need his support now more than ever because the weight on my shoulders is heavier than I have ever been forced to carry.

I am Kaliya Sahni, the Demon Serpent and Queen of the Nagas.

It is time for this story to end, one way or another.

Fantastic Conclusion

I love the ending, Left the reader/listener wanting more but with a great appreciation for the authors vision.

Wonderful ending on this trail

Enjoyed the series immensely. Love reading powerful woman characters and their revelations. Look forward to continued Jackie Leon stories as that is where we learned of Kaleha.

Amazing series!

I just binge listened to the Kaliya Sahni series and it was AMAZING!!!! This is the second K.N. Banet series I have listened to and she has become a one click author for me. I have enjoyed every book I have read or listened to from her. This is my first Ariel Royce experience and with so many opportunities for not telling this story well, she truly hit the mark each time. I will be looking for more narrated books by her. In my opinion, if you enjoy books by Diana Rowland, Iliona Andrews. Anne Bishop, Isabel Wroth, Julia Huni, Honor Raconteur, Lindsey Buroker, Michelle Sagara, Elizabeth Stephen’s, Maria V. Snyder, Lauren Gilley Catherine Johnson, and/or Mikayla Lane….you will truly enjoy this story and storytelling!!!!

wonderful conclusion to the series

I've enjoyed every single book in this series. This last book was the perfect conclusion, cleanly wrapping up all the loose ends and again showing us Banet's skill at writing complex and real interpersonal relationships and emotions. This will definitely be a series reread for me. I highly recommend!

A perfect end!

Though I dread endings, I feel Banet did justice to Khalia and her side of the Tribunal archives. I did tear up and cry in this one. It’s sad to see such a great adventure end, but I’m satisfied. I plan on reading her other works next and hope they’re as great as this one’s been!

Ok

I’ve enjoyed all the books and the various series that’s part of the Tribunal universe. But I admit this so far has been my least favorite. There was just way too much self reflection, a little bit of woes is me, relationship discussions and mythology. I appreciate the fact that Kaliya was determined to walk her own path, I just wished she would get on with it without the endless soul searching. To be honest, I was looking forward to the end of this book.

Dissapointed in all of the filler

I found much of the book to be tedious filler and the logic and or magic connecting events to be tenuous and over simplified. Major story arch’s were tied up way too simply to be satisfying while many characters in previous books were completely left out. I feel the author got bogged down in Hindu mythology instead of investing in the relationships of the characters readers of the series have come to care about. It was not a fast paced action packed book or a page turner by any means. I kept with it in order to get to the end to find out how the story arch’s were resolved as I’d invested my time in the series. On a positive note the narration was wonderful as always.
