Lavinia von Gandelhoff ist bei Wyatt Whale zu Gast. Sie ist die berühmte Gewinnerin des Crown Grand Prix und Tochter von Victoria, die bei Team Sirens als Enginerd beschäftigt ist. Victoria wird von ihrer Mutter unter Druck gesetzt, die Pilotenrollen zu übernehmen und ihre Freundin Mina zu verdrängen. Corto unterdes muss sich an die Grand Prix Regeln halten und bekommt einen anderen Genie vorgesetzt, der ganz anders tickt als Oro.

Als Shark Corto vom Eilboten-Parcours erzählt, ist diese ganz begeistert, denn sie meint, die schnellste Botin ihrer Heimatinsel und deshalb auch von ganz Paroa zu sein. Shark weicht aus und will an dem Rennen nicht teilnehmen, als er von Corto gefragt wird – angeblich, weil er es schon drei Mal in Folge gewonnen hat. Doch Corto ahnt, dass es einen anderen Grund gibt, warum er sich in der Stadt nicht blicken lassen will.
