Publisher's summary

Do you have the courage to test your faith? Are you looking for a comprehensive dissection of scripture? Are you concerned with the innumerable contradictions that exist within the Bible? Have you felt shunned, attacked, or discredited because of this questioning?

You are not alone. You are not a heretic, being used by Satan, or in need of being saved. In Crucifying the Bible, you will find the support and answers you have been searching for. After more than three decades of unquestioning belief and deep involvement in the church, Deborah Grace began studying scripture to better understand her faith, leading to a shocking revelation: The Bible is not true. With the core of her life-long identity shattered, Grace walked away from the church and pushed forward, piecing together new beliefs built on knowledge and true understanding. She shares many of her discoveries in these pages:

  • God never says we have to believe in a messiah to be saved
  • The crucifixion violates Old Testament sin sacrifice laws
  • Jesus does not fulfill the requirements for the prophesied messiah
  • God lied to mankind from the very beginning and criminalizes independent thinking
  • The Bible sanctions selective supremacy, slavery, and misogyny
  • Christianity adopted the idea of an evil antagonist

Whether you are new to examining your faith or discarded it long ago, if you crave a more sophisticated, in-depth comprehension of the scriptures, this book is for you.

Great Book!

This is an intelligently written and we'll thought out book. Hard concepts are easy to understand. Narrator mispronounced some easy words.

Excellent read!

This has definitely left me with a taste for more. Writer clearly took great care to be responsible and respectful of the material she covered. I hope she writes another one!

This book was logical, deep and very persuasive.

If you have been steeped in theology and biblical teachings and have some doubts about "the inspired Word of God" read this book and you will never again look at the bible the same way.

Solid approach to the subject matter.

Deborah avoids getting off in the weeds on textual contradictions. Instead, she hammers away at the theological inconsistencies between the Old and New Testaments. She makes a good logical case that is easy to comprehend and follow for those with no background in the original languages or criticism of the text.

As a Noahide, the Old Testament is my Bible. Shots are fired there too. She hits issues I've already personally resolved. I'd like to see her go a little deeper on Tanakh in the future. I love books that force you to face the tough questions in your faith, and this one hits the spot.

Very well written and thought out book.

A very well written, thought out and heartfelt book. Deborah Grace takes us through her incredible journey into, through and out of religion, using very well thought out arguments that should have anyone willing to listen, real reason to question why they believe.

Loved it!

The author managed to do something I have never done: write a book about this subject. I know we are not scholars on this matter, but we have a lot to say.
She makes me remember when I was little in a catholic school, and I wondered why would such a loving god wipe out most of humanity in the flood.

Gobbledygook

Baseless fringe theory. Nothing but fallacious reasoning. A total waste of time, not worth reading.
