Publisher's summary

Brooklyn Johnson had it all - money, jewels, designer clothes, a successful modeling career, and men falling at her feet. Now she's struggling to keep up the facade. When life was good, she wasn't always good to those around her. Even as she developed a drug addiction and struggled to maintain her sanity, she never felt she needed anyone. Now that an illness has turned her life upside down, she finds herself having to make amends with all the people she's wronged.

Cover Girl is the riveting tale of a woman trying to regain the self-respect she lost in the process of running the streets. Not all drug addicts start off on the wrong track, but most end up at the same destination - in need of a hand to pull them up from the depths.

Not bad at all

I'm not sure I liked how it ended, but it was definitely not your typical storyline. I listened to the whole book in one day.

Worth a listen

Interesting story. Full of bad decision making. Lack of learning from mistakes. The jump from the present, to the past and back was a plus. Nicole Smalls did her thing as always. Unfortunately, this storyline was a true pattern of the timeframe. Definitely worth a listen.

Sad story but very entertaining. Nicole small really brought the story to life, she’s the best narrator out there

Good story

This was a great read….. a sad but common story. Nicole always delivers I have never listened to a book that she narrated and been disappointed.

Decent read

I liked the narrator. The story was pretty good. It shows how bad elements prey on our daughter’s insecurities starting in highschool. It’s much harder to break a negative cycle then it is to fall victim to it. I like how the main character didn’t have an unrealistic triumph in the end. You don’t have to exceed to be victorious. You’re winning if you are just maintaining.

Good Story

I just feel that the storyline spent too much time reminiscing on her past. It finally catches the reader up, but then the story ends. It's a good story though

A Pleasant Surprise

This was a first for me by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Great story with characters that pull you into their lives from the first page. Definitely will be looking for more by this author. The performance was very good making the story very engaging. Well done.

Slow

The story is slow and so are the characters. Smh, tbh I waisted my time.
