Publisher's summary

A full cast edition to celebrate the 20th anniversary of New York Times bestselling and Newbery Medal-winning author Neil Gaiman’s modern classic, Coraline.

While exploring her new home, a young girl named Coraline unlocks a door to reveal a hidden passage. Intrigued, she ventures deep into a mysterious mirror realm, a world eerily similar yet darkly different from her own. There another mother and another father greet her, and they want her to stay and be their little girl. They want to change her and never let her go.

Before long, the miraculous turns sinister, and Coraline must use her wits and courage to save herself―and the other trapped souls she finds along the way.

Filled with enchantments and terrors alike, this winner of the Hugo, Nebula, and Bram Stoker Awards is a dazzling feat of imagination from a modern literary master.

Well done!

Full cast voice acting made this quite enjoyable, there are many differences from the movie that make me glad I read the book finally.

Always heard it was scary!

And it was! And I’m 25! So glad I gave this book a chance after loving the movie when I was younger.

I love the movie and the book was even better. It kept my attention the entire time and being able to imagine the world in the description was awesome. Great story

Erin

This performance was delightful all around. I’d forgotten how funny and spooky this book was and this version brought it all to life so beautifully.

What a delight!

When I first bought this, I didn’t realize that a bought a version with a cast. But I have to say I was very excited when I found out. The cast did a fabulous job and no one felt like they were out of place.

I’ve always been eager to listen to the book after seeing the movie when it came out in theaters. And I have to say that this book did not disappoint. Yes there are some big differences, but it doesn’t disturb my enjoyment.

The biggest change would have to be Coraline herself. The movie had her be a little abrasive to the point of coming off as bratty, where as this version was more of a “no nonsense, let’s get things done” kind of character. Both versions are good, but I kinda like this version a little better. I like that she was able to keep her head and didn’t fall for some of the obvious traps the other mother laid out.

Overall, this was a fun read and I loved listening to the cast. Well done!
