Not enough examples

I wish there were more examples given during the argument chapters. Overall it was a good book, but it could use more examples to drive home the concepts.

Introduction to Conversation

This is a book for people who have only recently begun speaking with other humans. The scientist or med student who looked up from their books to notice humanoid life forms passing close to them and decided to attempt communication. Not a bad thing but if you have any facility talking with people you won't learn much here.

Nailed... My innate??

He did a really great job at laying down what he had. Thing is, I already knew and do much of this book like I breathe.

Also it sits on the verge of my personal morals. He says it's not manipulation, yet I can only support that if when you follow his guidelines that you reeaaalllyy ARE interested. Otherwise.... It's manipulation.

Liked it. Just didn't learn anything new.

Narrator is irritating

Interesting but not really mind blowing. One thing I hated is the narrators voice and the way he speaks, it is so irritating, it's like he's trying to sound so cool and laid back but it was just distracting.

some stuff the author talks about is a b.s.

so some stuff is useful other stuff I don't know where author got the info but it is complete inapplicable bs. so good begginer book for someone who doesn't know how to engage and lead the conversation. but if you know your stuff you will find plenty if areas of disagreement.

Foundational and Accurate

A basic foundation, nothing revolutionary or unique in perspective. I would recommend this to anyone as the basics are fundamental to every effort of conversation.
