Editorial reviews

This 1996 recording of a performance by Pat Paulsen, an Emmy-winning comedian most noted for his roles on the Smothers Brothers' television programs as well as several tongue-in-cheek presidential campaigns, is a marvelous display of Paulsen's gentle yet cutting political satire. From the foibles of recent presidents to the differences between Democrats and Republicans, Paulsen comments on everything surrounding American politics, as well as the general culture at-large, with a keen wit. A mid-performance break into song tackles less heady territory but is charming just the same, and Paulsen's breezy demeanor turns Unzipped into an amusing crowd-pleaser.

Publisher's summary

Entering school at the age of three, it was soon obvious that Pat Paulsen was an exceptional child. At 11, MENSA confirmed his IQ at 205. He was awarded the Medal of Honor and Nobel Prize in Physics and has several masterpieces hanging in the Louvre. He debuted at La Scala Opera House in Milan in the role of Pietro in Don Giovanni and later performed in the Metropolitan Opera House in New York for 12 years. Paulsen culminated his career by collaborating with British scientist Stephen Hawking on a paper to reconcile quantum mechanics with the theory of relativity. They explained the meaning of life and how it started, and proved the existence of God.

And then he woke up!

Possessed of a sharp wit, to say the least, Pat Paulsen will amaze and amuse you. Unzipped is his posthumous release.
