The Mike Birbiglia bandwagon exploded with 2011’s Sleepwalk With Me, a stand-up smash that spawned a Billboard chart-topper, New York Times best-selling book, and an award-winning feature film. Two Drink Mike captures Birbiglia at a more formative stage in his career, his unique brand of humor nevertheless well honed. Birbiglia’s style has been described as likeable, familiar, and down-to-earth, and indeed, his quirky suburban drawl and good-natured ramblings call to mind the weird kid next door who likes to eat pizza (to which end, Birbiglia clarifies, "My family’s not real Italian, we’re, like, Olive Garden Italian"). A good kid at that, Birbiglia worries that the rappers on MTV Cribs are secretly "dying inside", and introduces listeners to his George W. Bush alter ego, "Wiffle Ball Tony".

"Birbiglia projects a humble attitude that's approachable, endearing even, but it leads to material that can be Steven Wright-strange and just as hilarious." (David Jeffries, All Music Guide)
I should probably start by saying, I'm not really big on stand up comedy. But I had heard Mike Birbiglia several times on PRI's This American Life (a podcast I highly recommend BTW) and he was so funny I had to hear one of his stand ups. Two Drink Mike is funny, self deprecating and charming. I've listened to it twice in the last two months and I laugh until my ribs hurt every time. Get it. It's the funniest thing I've listened to in a very long time.
Love this site! I have a very busy job, so listening to audio books enables me to keep up on great stories!
Super, crazy, funny!
The Oatmeal Song rocks my world!
I love this guy and his quirky humor!
If you like Mike's comedy, this is a great one. There's a bit of overlap between this and the things I've seen on Comedy Central, but overall it's funny. Worth a listen!
