"Graeme Garden and Jon Naismith, the team behind I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, have created a winningly simple new comedy panel game." (Stephanie Billen, The Observer)
"This is the funniest thing I've heard on Radio 4 in years and I'm considering suing the network for irreparable damage to my sides." (Jane Anderson, Radio Times)

Although not quite as polished as it has now become, this first series of The Unbelievable Truth does not disappoint.
Excellent guests were supported and hindered in equal measure by the brilliant David Mitchell whose sardonic comments were often as funny as the lectures themselves.
A simple concept - smuggle truths in a lecture full of lies - provides ample scope for the surreal and the ridiculous both in the lies and truths.
The programme appeals to a wide age range - my teenage daughter enjoys it as much as I do - and whilst occasionally risque, nothing that would offend.
"Brilliant from the start"
It's great to be able to go back and listen to the episodes I didn't catch. I only started listening to it after it had been going a few series.
It's not a book, it's a radio panel show, so that's a tough one. Comparing it to a book would be like comparing a chair to a toasting fork. Both useful in their own way, but you'd better understand what they're for or there's going to problems.
Compares favourably with other radio panel shows. Beats The News Quiz and I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue in my view. David Mitchell is a great host and the guests and their "lectures" are very funny.
Improbably, we've turned a radio panel show into a film.
I have been waiting for this to be available for ages and I'm so glad the whole series has been released. These are so funny. I listen at night and have to muffle my laughs :-D
