Audible Editor Reviews

Jim Breuer isn’t exactly an A-list celebrity, yet anyone with passing knowledge of his work on SNL or Half Baked should findSmoke ‘N’ Breu instantly recognizable. Breuer reprises some of his more famous funnies, delivering a potpourri of goat gags, Joe Pesci impressions, and heavy-metal humor. In an age where it’s become popular for stand-ups to pan their tamer television roles, it’s refreshing to hear a comic embrace his roots with unaffected fervor. One gets the impression that Breuer is a man of simple pleasures: he enjoys talking about his favorite bands - Metallica and Judas Priest among them. Indeed, Breuer - with his hard-rock backing band in tow - opens his routine with a rollicking send-up of "The Hokey Pokey", as if performed by AC/DC.
