Audible Editor Reviews

Dave Attell’s favorite pastimes include sex and strong drink. Indeed, Skanks for the Memories is the stuff of seedy after-hours bedroom blunderings, experienced through the eyes of a black-out drunk. Seemingly unable to connect one thought to another, the harebrained and hyperactive star of Insomniac informs listeners, "I think pot should be legal, I do. And I think if your cousin is super-hot you should be able to f—k one time." Less than a minute later, Attell has moved onto airports: "I travel a lot - I hate traveling because my dad used to beat me with a globe." Certainly not for the fainthearted, Attell’s antics nevertheless reveal an endearing flare for self-deprecation – if not outright self-destruction – and a keenly caustic sense of sarcasm.

What the Critics Say

"There are enough jokes about private parts, sexual orientation, and drinking to satisfy any frat boy, but there are also insightful barbs at religion, politics, and relationships for the more cerebral." (Michael Cusanelli, All Music Guide)
