Cockney comedian Micky Flanagan's debut radio show charts the ups and downs of his life, from Billingsgate fish porter to successful stand-up comic and from Sunblest to panini, tabloids to broadsheets and the street party to the dinner party. Each week's episode focuses on a different decade of Micky's life, and he regales us with autobiographical stories told through stand-up comedy. In between the laughs, the programme goes behind the scenes with short interviews that give an insight into Micky the man.
Written and performed by Micky Flanagan, and produced by Tilusha Ghelani.

"Funny and Entertaining"
More Entertaining than funny but never the less I listened all the way through. There is something somewhat pleasing about his voice that makes you want to listen. Although everything he's saying is funny it's not exactly laughing out loud and more as a smile and occasional giggle once every ten minutes and ending with complete laughter probably about 4 to 5 times during.
Worth it? probably.
yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yea boy today and Ben signed Charlie shirt
Wish this audio book had been longer I enjoyed it so much. Some proper laugh out loud moments. Loved every bit of it. Most happy 😊
"Have to constantly adjust the volume"
a strange listening experience this one. It cuts from him on stage to him talking to friends and family and back again with loud intro music to open each section. the conversations with friends and family are quiet then the stage stuff is loud very annoying when driving.
It's just great and it's true to life so that is why I like the bloke
"I like it"
it was a very nice listen , I like it too much , Sean lock chatting about Newman and baddiel was interesting . didn't care for the fish
"Very funny. Really enjoyed the stories"
Brought back my own memories. What would the teens of today make of this? A source of serious sociological study
I would recommend this to anyone who likes Cockney humour, particularly my sister but also my friends.
If you have seen any of Mickey's stand up then you will know his kind of humour.
He's light and funny as well as being very real.
It's a comedy!
"Always makes me smile"
I keep this on my iPhone. If I'm feeling a bit down I just listen to this because it makes me laugh. I've only given 4 stars for overall because a bit of the material is repeated on his other audiobook. (I'm not sure which came first).
Mikey Flannagan manages to deal with the sensitive issue of the British class system with intelligence and humour.
If your looking for an insight into someone's life then this is an excellent way of doing just that, but with a twist, someone's life with a laugh and a smile. An easy listen, that provides a good overview of Micky Flanagan. I smiled and laughted throughout. A good listen, we'll narrated by the author.
