Great book and the TRUTH about what's going on

First, from the technical point of view, it is a great audiobook. The sound is very clear and it even has audio inserts from events; obviously "made for audio". A+
On the actual content; it's amazing the number of lies the "right" feels they have to tell. Every point Al Franken makes is clearly explained and quite a few are funny; although this is not a book of jokes.
I recommend you listen to this book and then read some of the negative reviews. Makes you wonder whether they're idiots or, well, something else.

Book For The Ages

Great courage by the author and a great read in a time when the Right tells a lie long enough and hard enough to scare the people to death. I don't find the message in the book funny but true.

Great stuff

This was my first audio book and I enjoyed every word. I selected it at random during as a trial and found content to be the kind of thing I enjoy - good political satire, but what impressed me most was the style of the reading. As much as I enjoy a good read, the friendly, relaxed narration by the author, and especially the unprinted comments made listening a richer experience - one I enjoyed so much I thought I might make audio books a regular habit - if I can find any more of this quality.

Right on!

For years I've listened to the polital BS on virtually all forms of media, (radio, tv, newspapers), that there is a radical left wing slant on news. This simply is not true! It is refreshing to hear someone expose the right wing idiots for what their ideology is , (outright B.S.)

Superb

Not only is Franken by far the best narrator I have heard on Audible, the book is absolutely hilarious and hard hitting. Strongly reccomended.

Great read

I really enjoyed Franken's book, and was particularly impressed that he showed his reader the process by which he arrived at the information included. Just shws up his competitors in the political book market that much more.

Great Book

Excellent audiobook, as read by Al Franken himself. Nice touches all around; parts of the book acted out, instead of referencing news stories, he plays the audio of the actual news cast.

Not to mention, this is a great book about the state of Liberalism in America, and the overstatement of Conservatism in America.

The Best!!

...like having Al Franken in my car with me on my morning commute!! I loved this book!! ...should be required reading for all Americans. We ALL desperately need to know the TRUTH - detailed in this very carefully researched (and funny, too!) book. Cant wait for Al's new radio show.

Its really good

I was surprised how good the book is. I am trying some of the things from the book at my job. Such as when Bush's affiliates used push polling against McCain during the primaries. I love the looks on people's faces when I say something like "Yeah but would you be for this is you knew that guy beat his wife" or "I'd be for it also, but would you be that enthusiasted if you knew he was arrested selling crack to school kids dressed as a Nun?"

Another benefit has been watching FOX news. Its so damn funny now.

Oh yeah: I just love screaming out "More conservative media lies" at the health club when they have FOX on.

Well get the book and listen for yourself. Its one of Al's best.

Must readng or listening

FANTASTIC. I read the book and glad it's on audible as well, which i also bought. Franken is absolutely histerical while ripping into the right wing lies and liars, so to speak.
