Jim Gaffigan's comedy is like a razor hidden in a piece of cake - a particularly delicious and icing-drenched one. Gaffigan has a genial and affable delivery that belies the actual edginess of what's coming out of his mouth as he examines the absurdities of daily life, such as the seriousness with which people treat bowling. Using his own laziness, stupidity, and greed to illustrate the worst of human nature, Gaffigan manages at the same time to make some sly social criticisms that land right on target.
Gaffigan has proven himself a major talent in stand-up, acting, and writing. As approachable as he is edgy, he's responsible for some of the funniest and most memorable moments in recent comedy and has seen huge success with his first two albums - Doing My Time and Beyond the Pale. King Baby captures his clever, quiet style and features the signature jokes you'd expect, on topics ranging from bowling to bacon. This is an hour of Jim at his hilarious best.

I like action, gore, zombies, and non-fiction.
It was an enjoyable hour while I cleaned my house. I like Jim Gaffigan, so I knew what to expect. But I can't imagine listening to it again, like I did with his "Hot Pocket" skit.
I wish Audible would get more comedy...some classic Bill Cosby would be great! And Eddie Murphy's old stuff, and Sinbad.... I love fiction, but sometimes I just want to laugh. (Are you listening, Audible?)
Jim has created his own niche and there is no other comedian out there with his voice and sound, he stands out as one of the best in the country today.
His stories about his family, makes me want to both get and avoid getting married and starting a family.
He does funny voices that are very simple but they still get me smiling everytime!
Check this out and then listen to Beyond The Pale. All I can say is "hot pockets".
I like stand-up comedy, sans profanity. Gaffigan tells it well in this audiobook. I won't spoil it by spilling the beans, so you'll just have to listen to it yourself.
This is not a book, but a recording of Jim Gaffigan preforming some of his best bits. Hid act is laid back, like he is, but go with it. Once he has you in going at his pace you won't be able to stop laughing. He hits all of the (sort of) high points of his life like Eating and Sleeping.
"Listening with my other ear"
Because I laugh every time I hear it.
Jim Gaffigan is one of the few comedians I can fully trust. He is so funny and real that he is easy to relate. I am never afraid to have my son listen with me and we never fail to laugh our butts off. He is living proof you don't have to say the f- word 500 time to be funny.
Same old material and at times hard to hear. Don't get me wrong, but 5min in and I was over this book.
FORTY SOMETHING THUG FOR HIRE WHO ENJOYS A GOOD BOOK.
FUNNY. FUNNY. FUNNY. THIS IS (DARE I SAY IT) SOME FUNNY STUFF. ESPECIALLY HIS RIFFS ON CAMPING AND HIS OBSESSION WITH FOOD.
