Animated, exuberant, unrepentant - Gilbert Esquivel's Just Representin' is a spirited rollercoaster ride through the sometimes thorny topic of race in America! Esquivel is shameless, fearless, and just about every other -less you could think of, totally at ease on stage and thoroughly adept at aligning himself with his audience even as he ribs them mercilessly. This sure-footed comedian's sharp jokes revolve largely around Latin American culture in the United States, but his scrutiny falls, eventually, on just about everyone, as his buoyant stage presence and rapid-fire delivery combine to create an explosive auditory event!

Gilbert won his first comedy competition, just one year into his stand-up career, at the world-famous Ice House in Pasadena, California. He's been seen on many TV shows, including Que Locos, and was one of the first Latino semi-finalists on BET's ComicView.
His comedy influences are Freddy Prinze, Paul Rodriguez, and Richard Pryor.
Gilbert is committed to being a positive role model for kids caught in inner-city violence. He uses his comedy to reach out and educate teens about life's options.
