Comedian, activist, and hugely popular culture blogger at AwesomelyLuvvie.com, Luvvie Ajayi, serves up necessary advice for the masses in this hilarious book of essays.
"This truth-riot of a book gives us everything from hilarious lectures on the bad behavior all around us to razor sharp essays on media and culture." (Shonda Rhimes, New York Times best-selling author of Year of Yes and executive producer of Scandal and Grey's Anatomy)
"I don't know how Luvvie Ajayi got so smart so young about so many things, from feminism to social media, from the pervasiveness of rape culture to the excellence of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits. I'm just grateful she has chosen to share her wisdom with the rest of us...." (Jennifer Weiner, number-one New York Times best-selling author of Best Friends Forever)
"You will love Luvvie Ajayi's I'm Judging You, and you will argue with it, laugh hysterically at it, shout 'AW HELL YES' at it, and carry parts of it in your heart to dissect or inspire.... Perfect for starting important and meaty discussions about all of the topics your mama told you never to bring up at polite dinner parties." (Jenny Lawson, New York Times best-selling author of Furiously Happy)
With over 500,000 readers a month at her enormously popular blog, AwesomelyLuvvie.com, Luvvie Ajayi is a go-to source for smart takes on pop culture. I'm Judging You is her debut book of humorous essays that dissects our cultural obsessions and calls out bad behavior in our increasingly digital, connected lives - from the importance of the newest Shonda Rhimes television drama to serious discussions of race and media representation to what to do about your fool cousin sharing casket pictures from Grandma's wake on Facebook.
With a lighthearted, razor-sharp wit and a unique perspective, I'm Judging You is the audiobook the world needs, doling out the hard truths and a road map for bringing some "act right" into our lives, social media, and popular culture. It is the Do-Better Manual.

Way to go Luvvie. I honestly believe everybody could benefit from reading/listening to this book. I see great thing in her future. If you've never experienced her blog you should check it out.
I hesitated on getting this book, but I did. I think one should read the book as opposed to listening to it. This is her first narration -so hopefully she will improve. Luvvie is hilarious in print but not on audio.
I have friends who always talk about Luvvie's Twitter and Facebook. After listening, I can see why they enjoy her. This book has made me want to follow Luvvie on every social platform.
I DONT KNOW IF THERE WAS REALLY ANYTHING SHE COULD HAVE DONE. THE BOOK WAS JUST HORRIBLE
I GUESS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THE BOOK WOULD BE GHETTO BECAUSE THE BLOG IS. SOMEONE WHOM I HOLD IN HIGH REGARD RECOMMENDED THIS BOOK OTHERWISE I WOULD NEVER HAVE REALLY GOTTEN IT. THE BOOK WAS A MAJOR FLOP TO ME. IT WAS A WASTE OF MY MONEY.
Yes! The perspectives that Luvvie gave are worth listening to again. This book can serve as a reference to have on deck whenever I judge somebody or catch myself doing the things she talked about. So much insight in a non-finger shaking grandma way.
Her Nigerian influences
The only thing I did not like is that I could not turn the pages. I will remedy this situation by purchasing a hard copy this weekend and read it during my Thanksgiving vacation. Well done Luvvie!
This book was like hanging out with my friend. I found myself nodding and clapping, inspired and jovial. I can't wait to buy a physical copy of this book so I can share it with EVERYONE!
Book nerd for life!
The supreme side-eye queen has finally written a book. And it's just as hilarious as her blog. I've been following Luvvie for years, and she is one of few people who can make me cry laughing at just reading her words. This time, I had the privilege of listening to the audiobook. Same effect; pure hilarity. She has some serious essays as well, points that make you think and nod your head. But there were so many passages that earned me the side eye at work for cackling for something no one else could hear. Definitely pick this up as a pick-me-up, and learn a thing or two in the process.
I was brought here by Evelyn from the Internets and to her I want to say thank you. This book changed the whole game! From start to finish it was giving me LIFE!! As a Nigerian who moved to the UK when I was 3 I can empathise with some of the things Luvie said, and can further confirm the greatness of africans! I really just want to say that I LOVED this book and would recommend it to EVERYONE!!
Ps your shade is the best thing since jollof rice and chicken 😂
