The most ridiculous book ever

Patronizing to any man with half a brain. Total waste of money and time. You're better off doing nothing compared to devoting any resources to this goofy piece of work.

useless

What would have made How to Succeed with Women Without Really Trying better?

either actually being useful and informative or actually being funny. This was neither.

What was most disappointing about Shepherd Mead’s story?

It was a very dry and unsuccessful attempt at a humorous book.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Probably narrated as it was meant to be read. Way too stuffy and proper sounding to be funny and absolutely insightless.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointed to have paid for it and upset to have wasted my time to finish listening to it.

Any additional comments?

Don't bother

So funny! You will LOVE it!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This book is hilarious! I found myself constantly laughing out loud. The humor is wacky and off beat, but it all has a ring of truth to it. It's a lot of fun. The author is the same guy who wrote "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" and this book is just as enjoyable. You gotta check it out!

Avoid this one. Bad comedic book for teens

The title suggests this is a pick-up artist (PUA) book. It’s not. The proper title of this book, based on the intent of its advice, is “how to train women without really trying”. Chapters range from choosing a wife who is beneath you, how to kiss your wife, looking for a house, act like a boy without the ability to care for yourself because women view boys they need to fix as their greatest preference, and other such bad advice.
The book is meant to be humorous but I didn’t find it funny. The narrator is great, but the content is poor. Reminded me of a great actor in a bad movie.
The book comes across as a dad’s advice to a son - who is trying to be funny, views women poorly, and has been married so many years, he’s out of touch with what it was like to be single.
My age? 48.
