Now Madea is telling her own story, dishing her memoirs and hard-won, hilarious wisdom in her own inimitable voice (with a little help from her friend Tyler Perry). Madea covers every topic you want to hear her on, from the art of flirting, to love and marriage (sometimes two very separate topics), and raising kids (including the full story on the bag o' belts). She also opines on beauty tips (featuring her indispensable advice on the miraculous benefits of Vasoline), the healthy choice of a deep-fried diet, and the Bible (including her favorite Bible story, as you have definitely never heard it before) - and pretty much everything else.
Madea has lived quite a life, and she has some stories to tell. And they're all here. As she's fond of saying, "Sometimes life is hard, and you have to laugh your way through it."

Say something about yourself!
yes i would recommend this book.....................madea was very honest when stating her points and when you really think about everything she said, its reality.
That Tyler perry narrated it in Madeas' voice.
When Madea talks about her childhood. It had me in stitches. I had to hold my sides to stop hurting from laughing so hard.
My favorite scene in the book is when Madea talks about beauty tips, and that vaseline is the major solution to everything!
It made me laugh till I was sore. It is a great pick me up for when you need a good heartfelt laugh.
Tyler Perry needs to write another Madea book on the current state of our country. Madea will give everyone her honest opinion in the only way that Madea does. :)
The comical readings in the first person by Madea herself!
Madea. She is a tough, proud woman who believes in ""speaking your mind, or lose it"
No, I have just seen his plays and movies
Yes. My girlfriends call this book my "therapy". No matter how bad the day is going, this always makes me laugh.
i would most likely listen again, this is a very funny book
the Vaseline scene
Fun, adventurous and mysterious...just the way I love my books ;)
I recommend this book to any and everyone who is willing to accept some good advice and who's willing to kick their inhibitions to the curb.
Tyler Perry is a brilliant writer and an even better narrator.
His code-switching between Madea and himself (the deep, rich, sexy voice) was absolute genius.
I laughed soooooo hard
Anyone with a sense of humor, relationship problems or who is having a bad day needs to listen to this book. Let me take this opportunity to beg Mr. Tyler Perry to narrate another 100 books.
Its a true to character narrative, it carries depth as to the persona while providing pearls of wisdom for these trying time. I bought vaseline!
I laughed through the whole thing.
To many to mention.
I think I've never really felt that the Madea character was all that funny but, then again, I've never seen all of the movies in which the character was used. I thought the audiobook could be different, but it wasn't.
Rules to Remember. All simple wisdom but sometimes life can get in the way of your memory.
Simple, the voice of Madea. Madea's voice is half of the entertainment value.
Other than the frequent, "Oh my God, did she just say that?". I laughed a good deal with this audiobook.
I thoroughly recommend this book during your normal traffic filled commute. It will make the time fly.
I Luv Audible!!
Well Spoken Book
Clearly we are missing Madeas in our communities. Madea spoke honestly and she was beyond hilarious
Madea sure knows how to tell a bible story. her account of the bible was beyond serious.
I laughed continuously throughout this book. Especially about having visitors over and how to treat kids.
