Relatable reality

Sedaris come across as a modern day Mark Twain. His tales are so well written, real and told so well that I am able to listen to him over and over and still be surprised at how good he is.

Only for Sedaris fans

Occasional chuckle, but nothing fantastic here. Bottom line.. just not worth the credit or the money.

Funny but too short for the price

I really enjoyed this, but it felt more like a sample than a full audio book.

Disappointing

My fault. I wasn't paying attention. I just saw "unabridged" and the price ($14.98) and thought it would be more than one hour and 15 minutes. And this was to download it onto my OWN CDs. I feel ripped off, but have learned a $14.98 lesson.

Overpriced and Undergood

You'd have to be a HUGE David Sedaris fan to be happy with this purchase.
But wait a minute - that's wrong. Being a HUGE David Sedaris fan is what made me hate this purchase. Because I've already heard/read everything in it on This American Life or in the New Yorker. And I've listened to his great stuff often enough to know that this is all very much his B game.
So only buy this if you don't like David Sedaris at all.
Or wait til Audible comes to its senses and sells it for $4.95. It has a pleasure content similar to that of a Mocha Grande so I think that price is fair.
But 14 bucks is just stupid.

Not value for money!

Way too short. How can this be 1 credit compared to the other audio books sold for 1 credit. Total rip off! Should be 0.5 credit or packaged with another audio book (2 audio books for 1 credit). I felt robbed.
