Publisher's Summary

From the annals of wartime Britain come four brilliantly funny episodes with Captain Mainwaring's fully trained Home Guard platoon, ever ready to strike terror into the heart of the Wehrmacht from their unit in Walmington-on-Sea. Always prepared to fight to the finish, this endearing team of characters are at their incompetent best in these wonderfully entertaining adventures specially adapted for radio.

So...Watch out as the platoon try to rescue money when a bomb falls on a bank, a re-creation of Lady Godiva's ride takes place, the platoon guards some German prisoners of war, and a group of American soldiers are invited to watch a darts match.

Don't miss any of the episodes of Dad's Army.

The gentle British humour is superb. you can feel the time period, John Lemessurier plays suffering Captain Mainwaring so well. these four episodes are all excellent. I never tire of listening to them. you could also try count arthur strong, It made me laugh till I cried different to dad's army but a wonderful contrast...
