Beyond The Pale is notoriously pallid and delightfully self-deprecating comic Jim Gaffigan's sixth comedy album recorded live at the Vic Theater in Chicago. On this album, much of Gaffigan's wry humor skewers the ridiculousness of America's obsession with food, touching on topics like spray cheese, the shame of purchasing a Cinnabon, the bizarre ingredients in fruitcake, how steak is the tuxedo of meat, and, of course, the many dangerous varieties of Hot Pockets. Laugh-out-loud hilarious, Beyond The Pale is guaranteed to satisfy any listener's hunger for live comedy.
Recorded live in August 2004 at Giggles Comedy Club in Seattle.

"Beyond the Pale offers plenty of reasons this quirky but entirely approachable comedian packs them in....the album satisfies, with the comedian sounding more relaxed and in command of his ever-growing audience." (David Jeffries, All Music Guide)
YES! You need to hear it from Jim's mouth otherwise your just wasting your time, this is why I love Audible services!
Once again, Hot Pockets!
This might be one of the best stand up recordings of the year it was released. It's like the Irish version of Chris Rock's Bigger, Louder, Blacker.
Ever thought Hot Pockets were funny? You will now!
If you loved this check out King Baby. Brilliant!
I love good humor that I can share with other people and this book fit the bill. You can share the laughs with grandma or your seven year old neice. I play it in my car for friends.
First comedy title I've listened to. It was great. Gaffigan makes everyday life seem pretty funny. His humor doesn't require you to listen to every four letter word in the book.
Realistic, Witty, Different.
This man astutely captures the American response to food.
Gaffigan is absolutely hilarious! His Hot pocket thing will bring you to your knees! He does this thing where he whispers what an offended person in the audience might say and at first you kinda wonder what the heck he's doing, but in the end you'll be rolling! For the most part it's pretty clean, too.
