If you love Jeff Dunham, you will love this book. I'm sure it would have been fun to read, but I've no doubt it was made even that more enjoyable by having Jeff and his dummies narrate. From my point of view, Jeff just popped up one day on my entertainment radar. Little did I know the passion, focus, and shear determination it takes for someone to reach the skill and widespread popularity he has attained. There was never a moment I was not riveted by the fluid narration and fascinating stories of his journey to stardom; I was on pins and needles as he described his first appearance on the Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, a goal he had strived to attain for 10 years. His book runs up and through his unfortunately short-lived television show in 2009. Thank you, Jeff for sharing your story.

This is an enjoyable novel about Jeff's life & all the interesting happenings during it. The novel also takes you through the creation of his "little guys". Since it is red bu Jeff he deffently adds his personal touch & of course the guys add their two cents each along the way. This book is a good listen for the whole family.
I rarely write reviews but I couldn't stay silent about this audiobook. I have seen Jeff Dunham DVDs before and my family loves his humor. I was interested in how he got his start and how he developed his characters and I had one audible credit left so I spent it on this selection. WOW! Jeff narrated it with his little friends, so it was very entertaining as well as informative. He started young and consistently practiced his craft wherever he could. Imagine...he became an "overnight" success after decades of consistent hard work, practice and putting himself out there. Great lesson for us all. His parents are my heros, too, and they are an example of how to encourage, support, and nurture an interest in a child (even if the interest may not lead to a career). Great listen!!
Loved the book! It was fun to hear how Jeff started out and how he progressed to where he and the guys in the suitcase are today.
Jeff does an excellent job reading the book. The guys pipe up occasionally and make it more like one of his live shows than a book. You will love it.
And, for those that know Jeff's act, if you don't listen to this audiobook Achmed told me to tell you:
"I keel you!"
I found it to be real life. It was very funny, uplifting, and mostly believable. I feel after listening to this, that Jeff has lead so far, a very fulfilling life. Good for you. I will continue to watch all his videos, and listen to any productions he does in the future. Only because, he really does make me laugh. Thanks Jeff.
This was an interesting read, although I think you have to be a fan of Mr. Dunham to really appreciate it. After I finished it I went back and watched his specials again, and found myself enjoying them even more knowing the background of both him and the dummies.
The fact that Dunham himself narrates this book is quite interesting. I think it adds a lot to the experience, because it adds soul to his tales of building his career. I could however do without the comments from the dummies, as they felt extremely out of place and forced in pretty much every instance. Maybe it would have made more sense if there had been video accompanying it, but as it was, the comments were just way too random and intrusive to add anything to the experience for me.
