Practically perfect in every way

I absolutely adore this reading of one of my childhood favorites. I was expecting to be quite annoyed by the voices by the end, what with Piglet being given a snort every line and that sort of thing. But I never got there. I was lost in the magic of this world brought alive by such a wonderful narrator. Wouldn't change a thing.

Great literature

Great children's literature read just right. My kids enjoyed several nights of good reading at bedtime.

Nailed it!

Great collection of Pooh stories, from how Winnie-the-Pooh got his name, to all the classics. The characters are voiced perfectly. The only distraction was piglet's "snort". Excellent reading of Pooh's adventures.

Calming and happy

In these crazy times, we all need a little Piglet and Pooh. This reading has made my week much happier.

Wonderful story

I thought I remembered these stories from my childhood, but listening to them on audio with my children has helped me rediscover and find new joy in the timeless tales.

Peter Dennis’s narration adds life and joy to the characters. My youngest child (3), my father (64), and everyone in between has loved this audio version.

It was good and the author was very good. I fell asleep really quick to this.

I'm an adult who struggles to sleep

I loved it. I was looking for something to help my mind drift as I struggle a lot with sleeping. I tend to overthink. This carefree stories made me feel comfortable and safe.

Sweet Stories

I enjoyed the fun and imaginative stories at the age of 56. It’s good old fashioned fun that every young child would adore. I could just do without the songs I think.

my first and favorite audiobook

I once had the chance to see Peter Dennis perform this live and I've never forgotten it. I'm so glad that Audible has this recording for everyone to hear His Brilliant performance.

Classic, revisited

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Perhaps it's just me, but listening to this excellent reading was difficult. The snorts that Piglet gives at the end of most sentences were much louder than the words, making anything Piglet said hard to hear.

Then, there was the amount of prejudice that I didn't remember from having read this as a child. Perhaps I didn't notice it then, but I'm not sure now if I want my kids hearing this. I'll probably still share it with them, but it may be as a means to talk about the problem being expressed.
