Dark spruce forest frowned on either side the frozen waterway. The trees had been stripped by a recent wind of their white covering of frost, and they seemed to lean towards each other, black and ominous, in the fading light. A vast silence reigned over the land. The land itself was a desolation, lifeless, without movement, so lone and cold that the spirit of it was not even that of sadness. There was a hint in it of laughter, but of a laughter more terrible than any sadness - a laughter that was mirthless as the smile of the sphinx, a laughter cold as the frost and partaking of the grimness of infallibility. It was the masterful and incommunicable wisdom of eternity laughing at the futility of life and the effort of life. It was the Wild, the savage, frozen-hearted Northland Wild.

A good listen makes for an amazing day!
Narration was enjoyable and good listen. A story of triumph and heart.
This review copy audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost."
Yes, this specific narration is a must listen. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!
Jack London's other famous work- Call of the Wild. Kevin, the narrator does an excellent job narrating this piece. I have actually downloaded his version of Call of the Wild as well!
Kevin's narration brings this book to life, what an excellent job!
The whole story moved me. It was really the great narration that got to me!
Kevin Theis' performance was strong and expressive. Amongst other things he showed particular skill at being able to convey a fiery tone reflecting White Fang's bitterness and hatred and the theme of struggling for survival.
The opening to Part I of the novel articulates the most grim and hostile wild North land. Here London is at his toughest, most ominous and brilliant! Yet the humans Bill and Henry are all so human and relatable: “You don’t get no coffee,” Henry announced.
No, but would love to hear him perform another novel, something with more dialogue. Theis' skillful rendering of Bill and Henry's dialogue was a highlight from reading White Fang.
I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.
