OZ, Indeed!

After having been brought up on the movie, I was quiet curious about the author's real intentions regarding the messages implicit in his work. Happy to say the messages were not neglected by the movie makers. There is, however a wealth of information one can happily visualize that are missing from the movie. So, I thoroughly enjoyed transporting my self to OZ, meeting the characters on my own terms and remembering the important ethics of the day.

Narrator not good

performance was robotic and the attempt at different voices did not have the impact it should have.

Better than the movies

The story is much better than the original movie and the remake. It gives the background of all characters - not just Dorothy. And in the book Dorothy is not dresming!

The narrator does so well that one knows who's speaking.
