Publisher's summary

The Two Towers is the second volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic saga, The Lord of the Rings.

The Fellowship has been forced to split up. Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the One Ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape.

In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe - hobbits, elves, and wizards - spring to life. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

A True Masterpiece

One of the greatest books of all time. This is by far the best audio version you will find. Rob Ingles brings the world of Middle Earth alive with his charismatic story telling.

An exceptional continuation

As exciting and surprising as the first! I was a wee bit confused because I had only watched the movies prior and that was back in high school. my mental timeline did not match the book. turns out, the movie did rearrange the timeline, but I'm. Not even mad. I cannot wait for the final installment before I go to the adventure that started it all. The Hobbit!

Beautiful

A story I look forward to sharing with my children as they grow, just as my mom read it to me as a child.

This is a hard one

I have very much enjoyed this book, however as with all of Tolkien’s writing it can be difficult at times. I will say his world is fantastic and filled with history and every stone has a past that is shown to be relevant. However I would rather listen to the Ents for the rest of time than listen to Frodo complain about hiking through the mountains one more time

A must listen!

I was so captivated by the storytelling that I was dreading when it would end—masterfully narrated.

I love hearing Rob song throughout this series. His narrating brings out everything you could hope for in a book.

geat classic

am amazing saga that is a joy. Rob Englis does a good job, but there is another narrator whose performance is much better. His name is Steven Garnett, but somehow the Tolkein estate was able to get his LOTR recordings taken off YT. Audible should seek those out in the interest of giving us customers the best available product.
