"Hark unto the words of Nokomis!"

I listened to this not as a student of American Literature or American history so a specific evaluation on those factors I will leave to others.
I listened to be entertained with a good story, nicely told - and I was not disappointed!
Particularly, in her reading of "Hiawatha" I found it no stretch of the imagination to picture myself in front of a wigwam on the shores of Gitche Gumee listening to Nokomis telling the tale of her renowned companion of old.
