Convicted and imprisoned because she is unwilling to name her partner in adultery, Hester Prynne is forced to wear a scarlet “A” on the breast of her gown for the rest of her life. This unending public reminder of sin torments her days and haunts her soul. Four people will be destroyed by a complex web of guilt and secrets, unless one of them reveals the truth behind the scarlet letter.

AUDIBLE MAKES READING POSSIBLE AND EASY FOR ME...I AM VISUALLY IMPAIRED. I WISH THEY HAD ALL THE BOOKS I WANT I WOULD SNAP THEM UP!
in the middle. i have read about 40 books.
the plot was interesting.
pearl, arthur, and Hester in the forrest.
he who cast the first stone...
it is an old book and the style of writing is way to flowery. i would have preferred more concentration on the plot itself and the more time spent on what was in the mind of each main character.
i read this book in high school and i must have skipped the first three chapters (as i skimmed in this audiobook) if i had tried to read those chapters i would have not ever read the book.
