Strangely good story

This is a strange, but good, story. It is very well written, and the narrative is excellent. Thanks, DH Lawrence.

Lawrence’s Often Taught Short

This short story is often taught in college. The interpretation is crucial. The boy in the story just wants to fulfill his mother’s desires. Thus, the story is very twisted once you figure out the meaning of the rocking horse and what the boy is up to. I love these older stories where you do have to use your thinking skills a little more.
