Say something about yourself!
The Prophet is Gibran???s masterpiece, a wonderful blending of timeless wisdom with beautiful poetry. I???ve read the book and have heard other audio versions, but this recording by the late Paul Sparer is without equal.
I had a copy of this on cassete tape, loved to listen to it then and even more now, Ipod makes it so much easier to enjoy.. Inspiring to listen to in this format, as in its prior overly listened cassete format.. Enjoyed listening to it this morning at work before the day began.. Narrator, pleasant to hear,, and as always Khail Gibran a pleasure to visit again and again....
This needs to be listened to many times as you will hear something new with every listen. Almost allows you to step out of life and be an observer. Very powerful, very thought provoking, very beautiful.
No doubt this is the kind of book you should read many times during your life in order to get a deeper understanding every single one.
I knew this book before so I was curious about it. English is not my mother tongue so some part was really challenging for me but I finally I enjoyed it a lot. Narrator is excellent and the wisdom from this book is eternal. Highly recommend.
This is my first foray into Khalil Gibran's work and l must admit that l am mersmerised and drawn in equal measure. This book and the narration is beautiful. I have listened to it twice already. Too many quotes and images for me to consider.
