its a great book all around great performance and story. you can fall into the story it keeps you going waiting for what comes next.

The Lord of the Rings all three books, The elfstones of Shannara, The sword of Shannara
all five deal with fictial lands and guests for items.

What does Rob Inglis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

he brings life to the story, I have both read the book and have listened to the book, everyone shoud read the book as well as listen to the book.

this book has different reactions all througout the book. you want to cry at times laugh at times

I’m not sure if it’s just a problem with my copy or not, but the book started with ch9- the end then went into ch1-8. Please fix!

Wonderful book!

Wonderful journey with a great narrator. It was such a feel good book that really took you somewhere else!

this book will stand

this is always one of my favorite books. hands down. it's a good read for all ages. when Tolkien died he truly lost a great author and man !

A must read/listen classic!

So much fun to listen to such a wonderful classic by J.R.R. Tolkien, who never cease to amaze with his immense inspirational creation of characters. Forever grateful for Tolkien’s books! In The Hobbit you will find where everyone comes from and you will embark on a journey along the hobbits, dwarfs, elves, the great wizard Gandalf, wargs, goblins, trolls, humans and Smaug, the dragon. Rob Inglis does an excellent job at narrating, he speaks and sings as Tolkien would’ve wished his story to be told.

A clever book with a good narrator. A good adventure. Clever storytelling. The narrator even sings the songs.

Rob Inglis does a wonderful job reading the story. His voice is calming and I've fallen asleep while listening a few times. I love the Hobbit, and this was a great way to experience it all over again.

Beautiful!

Beautiful story. Beautifully read. One of the best narrations I've listened to. He sets the various moods convincingly, the story line moves with appropriate balance and emphasis, and the characters each have their own quality. Extremely pleasant to reconnect with the book in this way. I was going to read this to my granddaughter, and I'm a pretty good reader, but Inglis did such a fantastic job that I am now thinking that we will share listening to this audible together.

Entertaining

I really enjoyed the narrative. It was a great adventure! I read it many years ago and thought it was good, but the voices gave it so much life!
