Like an Old Friend come back
The first time I read the fellowship of the ring it was 1967 had just come out in paperback 50 times later yes I read it for 50 times plus seeing the movies about 10 times I've come back to read it again blessed my red it was probably around 15 years ago and it was like coming home I love this book I love the whole trilogy and I swear I can say some of the parts out of memory this is a great book this is a great trilogy is probably the best series and the 20th century and you'll have a ball reading it it's different than the movies the language is a little bit old but I'll tell you you'll learn some new words

Way better than I thought
People always told me the lord of the rings books were boring. I can safely say they are not. I now understand why so many hold Tolkein in high regard.

Rob Inglis is delightful
I am by no means a huge lord of the rings geek, but I have done my fair share of fantasy story reading and listening. Rob inglis does a fantastic job of portraying the personalities of these now world famous characters. I would imagine that Peter Jackson and his boys/girls did some listening the these recordings before filming the movies. Many of the actors in the movies "happen" to sound like Inglis' take on their character. What a great listen!
