This is the complete Wizard of Oz collection of 22 stories written by L. Frank Baum.
This is the only complete collection that includes all the Oz stories. All 22 stories are fully complete. They include the dedication and the introduction of each story/book.
In this collection, you will find stories not available in other collections. It even includes stories published after the death of L. Frank Baum.

If you liked the movie, this contains more detail.
The Complete Wizard of Oz is missing information on which stories and chapters are in which parts. I took the time to listen to and write them down for others to reference. I am going to add this to my feedback but it would be best if this was added to the audio books. Please excuse any mistakes. I have listed the stories contained in each part and their audio chapters. A hint is to look at the chapters lasting less than a minute. These contain the title and introductions to new stories. Part 1 The Wonderful Wizard of Oz audio ch 1-26. The Marvelous Land of Oz audio ch 27-40. Part 2 The Marvelous Land of Oz continued audio ch 1-14. The Woggle Bug Book audio chapters 15-17. Ozma of Oz ch 18-end. Part 3 The Road to Oz audio ch 1-27The Emerald City of Oz audio ch 28-endPart 4 The Emerald City of Oz audio ch 1-20. The Patchwork Girl of Oz audio ch 21-endPart 5 The Patchwork Girl of Oz continued audio ch 1-11. Little Wizard Stories of Oz audio ch 12-18. Ticktock of Oz audio audio ch 19-endPart 6 Ticktock of Oz audio ch 1-7. The Scarecrow of Oz audio ch 8-33. Rinkitink of Oz audio ch 34-end. Part 7 Rinkitink of Oz audio ch 1-21. The Lost Princess of Oz audio ch 22-end. Part 8 The Lost Princess of Oz audio ch 1-11. The Tin Woodman of Oz audio ch 12-37. The Magic of Oz audio ch 38-end. Part 9 The Magic of Oz audio ch 1-24. Glenda of Oz audio ch 25-end. Part 10 Glenda of Oz audio ch 1-12. The Royal Book of Oz audio ch 13-end
I had no idea there were so many books in the Wizard of Oz collection. This has been a very enjoyable book and one of the best purchases I've made to date. I really like L. Frank Baum's vivid imagination, and how he brings everything to life. This is something that my 10 year old son and I can listen to, together.
Of course, Dorothy is my favorite character. Mainly because she's familiar in a vast line of newly found people, fairies, talking animals, etc.
Eric Vincent has done a wonderful job - It must be difficult for a narrator to have such a wide variety of characters to portray. From a small girl, to a magical talking saw horse, to Santa Claus...I honestly can't pick my favorite of his performance.
It would be impossible to listen to this book all in one sitting. It is very long and took me over a month to even get to the halfway mark. I enjoyed listening to this everyday during my commute.
Best bang for the buck on this purchase. There are so many stories included, that you'll keep busy with this for a very long time.
I would recommend this book to friends who enjoy audiobooks. I purchased the entire series for a recent trip to Minnesota because the flight would allow an uninterrupted block of time to really get into the stories.
I would say Alice in Wonderland or Through the Looking Glass would be in the same fantastical realm.
I have listened to other performances by Eric Vincent and I would say this is one of his better outings. The amount of material is daunting (`85 hours!) and he keeps the story interesting with different character voices.
I've not listened to the entire series yet so I prefer to wait to pick a particular moment.
While there have been lots of negative comments about no index, I found the lack of an index a non-issue. I began listening from the beginning and have been happily skipping down the yellow brick road with my new friends!
It's absolutely ridiculous --- they don't even tell you the names of the 22 books included anywhere! What is worse -- in order to find a book... you have to know to look for it... and then search the 10 downloads for the book you want. (Which I suppose you should psychically divine before scanning the 10 downloads to find it!! VERY UNPROFFESSIONAL, AUDIBLE!! The least you could do is list which stories are in which download!!
Wish it had all parts, could not hear the end of the second story. It was missing half of the 22 stories
No, he had a weird way of breaking up his sentences
Top 10 in my audio collection. The books are different than the 1939 movie with Judy Garland.
Sherlock Holmes read by Simon Vance. The narrator of both books make the collection perfect.
So far the first story. I loved meeting Dorothy of Kansas. I love Dorothy and Toto.
Adventures in Fairy Land...... Wanna join the fun??
Eric Vincent is an amazing narrator.
I would recommend the real books, but not this audiobook, I've read all of them, but don't think I can honestly get through all of this with the files being so randomly set up as they are.
The ending of book 2 is the most interesting thing that happens the entire series. It's well worth getting through the first 2 books to learn the secret. Knowing this was written over 100 years ago makes the ending of book 2 especially shocking.
Someone with alot more energy. Anne Hathaway for the first book is great, I'd love to hear her at least do the first 15 books that Baum was involved in.
With a new narrator yes.
The books themselves are phenominal, really just need a good narrator to make this one of the best deals you could find. I'd even be fine with getting all the books separately with a really great narrator.
Anything by different narrator
More expression. So monotone, put me to sleep on my commute.
Just not a good experience. Needs more life.
Yes as you can hear each character differently and use your imagination to how they would look.
The tin man because he protects everyone else and repairs them if they need it.
jack pumpkinhead. He makes it funny.
The scarecrow and jack pumpkinhead make me laugh :)
"Needs Chapter Headings"
This is the complete collection of Wizard of Oz stories. It is well narrated and lovely to listen to. The stories become a bit repetitive so I found listening to one at a time with breaks to listen to other books worked for me.
The main downside of this book is that there are no chapter headings or story titles so it is very difficult to find your place if you lose it or know how long each story is. This is particularly a problem because there are 90 hours of listening.
