narration is AWFUL

I wish I could return it. or could give the narrator 0 stars. I do not know who heard her voice and thought it was good for recording. it's awful!

Narrator not make these treasures come alive

I was so looking forward to hearing these H. G. Wells Stories. I have 9 of them on old tapes I found in a thrift store. Narrator unknown in multiple story set, Clifton Chase in the other one. Both narrations were very pleasant to listen to and I've worn out my old tapes. The wonderful experiences I had with these narrators is the reason I was so excited to listen to The Collected Short Stories of H. G. Wells. Sadly Cathy Dobson's style made it very unpleasant to listen to these wonderful stories. Her style is quite morose, monotone with a similar long drawn out drawl of the word ending each sentence making it very irritating . I have listened to 58 of the 68 stories to see if I could get used to her narration style. So far it is not working for me and it is disappointing that she was not able to make these H. G. Wells stories come alive. At this point, I cannot recall or mentally relive the stories I have listened to due to my mind rejecting her narration style and tone.

Needs a table of contents

My main complaint is that there is no listing on stories in the collection and which chapters go with which stories.
