Publisher's Summary

A selection from The Collected Fictions of Jorge Luis Borges.

Borges has been called the greatest Spanish-language writer of our century. From his 1935 debut with The Universal History of Iniquity, through his immensely influential collections Ficciones and The Aleph, these enigmatic, elaborate, imaginative inventions display Borges' talent for turning fiction on its head by playing with form and genre and toying with language.

    "Borges makes life interesting"
What did you love best about The Circular Ruins?

For such a short story this one really makes you think. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The narrator did a good job of bringing it to life as well.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There is a question as to how many characters there are.

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

There was no dialogue, so this question is also irrelevant.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's only about 20 minutes. I listened to it twice in one sitting.

    Any additional comments?

    Do it! It's great!
