Publisher's summary

Having inspired a classic film and Broadway play, The Caine Mutiny is Herman Wouk's boldly dramatic, brilliantly entertaining novel of life—and mutiny—on a Navy warship in the Pacific theater. It was immediately embraced upon its original publication as one of the first serious works of American fiction to grapple with the moral complexities and the human consequences of the Second World War. In the intervening half century, this gripping story has become a perennial favorite, selling millions throughout the world, and claiming the Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Great book! Killer narration too

loved this book as much as any other Wouk book so far, it has all the goods! it’s a coming of age story, a naval epic, a courtroom procedural, a history lesson and it’s chock full of “snappy repartee”

An excellent performance!

Kevin Pariseau added much value to this outstanding, Pulitzer-worthy novel. I highly recommend this audio book for all those interested in life and growth of young officers in US Navy during wartime, or for a reader looking for a great story about life in general. One of my best reads yet!!

Wish I'd listened to this a long time ago!

The performance of this book was outstanding. I feel because of it, it caught my interest from the opening few pages and sucked me in before I knew it.

Great book, great story.

I'm a Wouk fan

This was another fantastic story. I've come to find comfort in this narrators voice. I hope to find more books like this one. I loved his other books too!

A Book Which Should Not Be Missed

Thoroughly enjoyed The Caine Mutiny by Herman Wouk. You may have see the movie with Bogart as Captain Quigg, but the book explores many nuances which the movie could not put forth. Mr Wouk's sea novel is not only action packed but extremely cerebral. Reading this novel you will come to realize the main characters are handsomely endowed with their own integrity as to right vs wrong. What seemingly is the correct mode of action in dire straits is turned upside down. Where you form an opinion of who's right and who's wrong, you may change your mind, after all the facts are brought out in the trial.

A compelling book and fast read. The narrator, Mr Kevin Pariseau, had my attention from the first paragraph. he was exceptional during the trial and IS the voice of Captain Quigg.

Amazing

What a surprise! Loved the book, the narrator and the story. Had never heard of the book before my son picked it up in a thrift store. Really fascinating look into a world I thought I knew something about.
