Narrator drove me crazy

The book was incredible and excellent, but the narrator drove me nuts. He used very high-pitched, effeminate voices for many of the men, and I think his inflection was all wrong. I'd find a different narrator.

Incredible narration

Constantine Gregory gives an outstanding performance. His characters are distinct, and true to their personalities.
The story has so much depth- one can read it just as a murder mystery with plenty of creepy scenes, but there is actually more meaning in the characterization of each brother. It’s like looking at the psyche of a nation on the verge of revolution.

What can I say that hasn’t been said?

This book is incredible. The narrator is fantastic. I will certainly revisit. I feel a better person from this book and have already done more things of “active love” that maybe I wouldn’t have. With all of my heart, thank you Dostoevsky

He puts such expression into the dialogue, that I feel I know each of the characters personally. Wonderful wonderful performance!!

Absolute best novel.

I enjoyed every part of this book. The only thing on my mind, now having finished the book, is what did Dostoevsky go through in his life. What experiences did he have in his life to create such a rich and vivid novel?

Absolute beautiful!!

Very much enjoyed the book and it's complexity. Narrator was most enjoyable. After reading Anna Karenina and struggling with it. I must say this was the best classic literature I've ever read.

Good stuff

I followed listening to War and Peace with this narration of The Brothers Karamazov. As far as classic Russian literature goes, I prefer this to War and Peace. Knowing a little about Dostoyevsky's personal history was helpful with understanding some of the story.

The masterpiece that has built detailed and complete characters

This is the second time I’m reading this work. The first time I read the book myself, and this time I listened. The impressions are similar and strong. There is none that creates characters like Dostoyevsky.
The narration is really eloquent and beautiful, but at times, during dialogs mainly, because the cues are missing when switching from one character to another, the reader doesn’t provide a clear switch and the listener can be confused as to who’s speaking. However, despite this minor weakness, the reading is superb.
