Fussell’s “frighteningly acute eye for the manners, mores, and cultural tastes of Americans” (The New York Times Book Review) is abundantly evident in this entertaining dissection of the enemies of truth, beauty, and justice.

The first part of the book is superb. Finally, someone who looks at things logically. The truth is we did what we did to save American Lives. Those who disagreed were the armchair generals and other elitists who had little skin in the game. This book should be a muse read in school, but I am sure the liberal teachers would never allow it.
