A new favorite recording!

Lindsay Duncan is a fabulous narrator; she captures the essence of each character beautifully.

Enjoyable Narration

I’ve tried a few other narrations of Pride and Prejudice, but I enjoyed this one most.
Due respect was given to each character without extra dramatic effects that turned me off from other narrators. I love this book.

Loved it!

This is such a favorite story! I’ve ready it many times and I love the movie. The narrator here is incredible! Enjoyed it thoroughly!

There is nothing I can say that hasn’t been said. It is of interest that the literary public return time and time again to the works of Jane Austen and all levels of media has taken her books into new and revised forms even after 200 years. That seems to negate the negative reviews of Pride and Prejudice as a very valid piece of literature.
I doubt few of current books will still be followed in 200 years yet hers will still be there for us

Very helpful in reading a classic

This was extremely helpful in being able to follow along. It was also helpful with YouTube in helping review each chapter to help weed through the old English

This book is truly a masterpiece, constructed of love, pride, laughter, and prejudice! I love Jane Austen and am so thankful for Audible for providing this lovely book! I 100% recommended reading this book! I hope whoever reads this will have as much enjoyment as I did!

The reader really brings this book to life and has so much enhanced my enjoyment of it. The way she changes her voice to reflect the characters in dialogue is amazingly well done.

I fell in love with this book from the beginning...It was funny and yet serious but shows just how love can pan out...I think everyone should read this...

Relationships

We can be so enthralled with our own perspective of things that we cannot hear another. Austen's lesson is on learning to open up and recognize that there is somebody else around...not just «me». This is a very relevant book on relationships...and it reflects our society: ego.com.

Can't believe I waited so long...

I loved this book. The reader was fantastic. The story compelling. Highly recommend it. I plan on listening to it again and again.
