In Persuasion, Austen's last novel, she reveals a tale of love and marriage told with irony, insight, and an evaluation of human conduct. The characters, Captain Wentworth and Anne Elliot, have met and separated years before. A reunion forces the recognition of the false values that drove them apart.

I had to read this book for school and was, quite honestly, not really looking forward to reading Austen. However, this audiovook experience was quite delightful! I will most certainly be listening to more Austen in audio book form!
Excellently narrated. Strongly look forward to purchasing more audiobooks narrated by Ms. Scacchi. As an actress she emblems each character with a unique life force that makes for wonderful listening. BRAVO.
I listened to the previews of all the versions of Persuasion and I am so glad I went with Greta. She read this story very well. I wish she had more books. The story itself is very good, being Jane Austen and it is made even more enjoyable by the reader.
She does a great job with inflection and changes her voice to suite the characters in a nice consistent way.
I would not recommend this book..I found it very slow moving.
I dont think anything...Just not my type of read!!!!!!
