Glad to have finally "read" this classic!
And all while getting my daily workouts! I love my Audible! I was surprised at how much science and geography were part of this book, not having looked anything up prior to deciding to read it. I learned a lot and was entertained.

Absolutely love!
Tim Curry does an amazing job of narrating this book! I am using this story in a class I'm teaching on Iceland & geology. Tim's animated narration has brought this story to life for me in a new way I didn't know possible & helped me to understand the tone/mood of the story. I'm so grateful!!!
I will say, the story itself written by Jules Verne is somewhat wordy & a lovely feast of literature for adults. However, this version may be a bit too meaty for children. None the less, I now understand the story so much than I did before & I am glowing with happiness. Thank you!!

Loved Tim Curry but the story was sooo dry
I loved listening to Tim Curry read this audiobook, and I have to say that if it wasn't for his awesome performance I couldn't have made it through this book. I just couldn't get into it and I normally love this kind of stuff, the story was just too dry.

A classic told by a great actor
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Tim Curry is just a delight to listen to... I wasn't sure when I picked up the book, but it has made listening to a old classic a lot of fun.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Axel, the narrator, is my favorite character because he reacts the way I would... with drudging despair, and yet wonder, as they progress along the journey.
