Raised in squalor in the marsh country of Kent, the orphan Pip is taken under the wing of the eccentric and reclusive Miss Havisham - only to blindly give his heart to the dowager’s beautiful but ice-cold adopted daughter, Estella. Even as a mysterious benefactor helps to shape Pip’s life into one of fortune, success, and self-discovery, the unspeakable secrets of his unrequited love continue to haunt him - and promise to change his life once again.

With its indelible cast of characters, immersive epic narrative, and startling dramatic twists, Charles Dickens’s powerful classic continues to enthrall generations of new listeners.

Wonderful Narration

A great story, but I don't know that I would have loved it as much without this narrator. He did such an amazing job.

Fantastic reading!!!

After previewing a few renditions, including the most popular version, I HIGHLY recommend this reading.
I sometimes find Dickens to be a bit hard to absorb, but the narrator’s voice is very clear and also adept at creating distinct and memorable characters.

Insightful to the last

The narrator was awesome and added a great deal to my understanding of this book. It is one of the best novels I’ve ever read. What a journey.

1 out of 10 I give a 12

The first time I read this book was in high school and we only read certain scenes. I finally read it again and found I never knew how good the story was . Michael Page did a wonderful job of narrating with his different voices for characters. I would read this again and highly recommend it

Wonderful Performance

I thought Michael Page’s narration of this story was excellent. He had so many unique voices for all the characters. I particularly liked the voice for Pip. Also, the voice for Pip’s sister had me in stitches.

Meh.

My expectations for this book were great. The book itself was pretty bland though. I have to admit, the performance was wonderful, sadly, the story was just not for me. I would certainly get another audiobook read by this narrator!
