great collection of stories everyone should read

Edgar Allan Poe is a phenomenal writer. Bob Thomley is great at narrating these classics. this collection should be in everyone's audible library. I do wish they would split it up so you could find specific stories to relisten to.

All stories of course outstanding. Thomley does a fine job reading. No real performance. Recommended.

It's Poe, what's not to like?

Bob Thomley does an excellent job bringing the stories of Poe to life. Not all of Poe's works were horrors/thrillers, although they are what he is most known for.

This collection includes some stories of his that are actually comedies, such as The Angel of the Odd and another story involving an insane asylum gone...insane.

Anyway, almost all his classics are here, including The Mask of the Red Death, the Cask of Amontillado, The Telltale Heart, the Black Cat, the Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum, etc., but also delightfully contains some of his lesser known works, as mentioned above.

Highly recommend!

An impressive collection

To be honest, I greatly enjoy the tales of Edger Allen Poe. I had high exceptions for this however I feel a bit let down. It is not a mater of story it's a matter of the narration. The Narrator in my eyes was unable to hold my attention...
If you are interested in investing 16 hours and chance keep in mind that reading another book at the same time would be highly recommended.

Not what I expected!

I've never been a fan of Poe, but I have to say, this is very nicely done. I like both the writing and the narration and it helps me to understand why so many people love his work. I may have to change my mind about his writing.
