weirder story than I ever imagined
I didn't realize the story was actually this weird!! but it was fun. the kids really enjoyed it, we listened in the car in our carpool.

cool
I can't believe I've been alive this long and read so many books but never read this one. I'm sure my mom read it to me when I was small because it's in her journal but I don't remember and although I know the Disney version, I'm glad I revisited this unique work of fantasy.
it's a compelling tale that is a psychedelic trip to another dimension and back. After reading the original, it's easy to see how all the film adaptations seem to differ so dramatically from each other.
it's a quick, funny, nonsense ride.

The guys voice takes a while to get used to. I didn't like his voice in the beginning. I also don't really like how he changes his voice for the different characters.

Great story!
I was surprised to discover that Disney’s cartoon is pretty true to the story. I enjoyed listening to this and can’t wait to introduce my children to it when they’re old enough.

A classic that moves along, but requires focus
Narrator did a fine job with pacing and voice differentiation. The story is rather whimsical and absurd, but it is a classic, so hard to defame it without attracting unwanted attention.
