Publisher's summary

A young man named Benjamin Strong has just lost everything after the death of his parents and girlfriend. After a failed suicide attempt, Benjamin wakes up to find an angelic version of his girlfriend, Charlotte, sitting by the edge of his bed. Surprising and thought provoking

The story starts off as an interesting supernatural mystery about a young man who is forced to make a decision to take or leave the entire population of the word with him when he dies in 7 days. From there, the story goes into very heavy territory from everything to war, murder, and all the ways we are terrible to each other. It takes what should be an obvious answer and goes deeply into a story that can be very dark, but Is still full of beauty and life. A surprising life affirming story, I received this code for free, would still highly recommend as the story is beautifully told and narrated.

Not at all what I was expecting

I really enjoyed the introspective story telling. The story was very well written and engaging. Talk about a lot twist. I really enjoyed it.

Baskerville Book Reviews

I’ve reviewed a LOT of audiobooks at this point and I have a zero-tolerance policy for shitty narrators. Sadly, this is one of those DNFs for me. Aside from the narrator reading every line in this lifeless, bland, monotone voice, her accent is obnoxious. She constantly adds the letter y to words that don’t need it, making it extremely difficult to even tell what the hell she’s saying.

Some examples include, but are not limited to; Rayne (rain?), rayd wine (red wine), Expreyss (express), prayssed (pressed), ayge (edge), bayter (better?), etc, etc. Had it not been for context clues, I’d have been unable to follow half of what she was saying. I made it 2 chapters in before I bailed, and I only did that out of respect for the author, because I promised honest reviews.
