Publisher's summary

There is nothing like a crisis to reveal the cracks in the walls of our soul. But God promises to redeem all things that come into our lives to make us more like Jesus. We are experiencing a unique crisis in our day and age, COVID-19. It has created fear, death, and will leave economic disaster in its wake.

In this book, I don’t just want to talk about how we can survive this crisis, or how we can access the peace of God in tumultuous times. I want to talk about how God can redeem a crisis in our personal lives to take us deeper into maturity and intimacy with Christ. And how this particular crisis could potentially lead to revival if the church processes it well. We stand on the precipice of an unprecedented opportunity to be purified and mobilized on mission to advance the kingdom of God in our generation.

it's like a giant pep talk

Well written, and well read. I felt like I was an athlete in the locker room getting a pep talk from a coach. As the days get darker, I'll turn back to this book to reground myself in scriptural truths. Grateful.

So good I got the audible as well as the paper book

This book was such a good read, after reading the paperback, I got the audible so I could listen to it as well.

We have a redeeming God. He can answer will readers anything in our lives for his Glory and our good.

I like that the author reads his own books. He is easy to listen to, a good communicator, and speaks clearly.

Overcoming Fear - best chapter I've ever read!

Dr. Rob Reimer's latest book is amazing, as always. But the chapter on Overcoming Fear is one of the best chapters I've ever read. I never thought of myself as a fearful person, in fact, I've often said "I'm not afraid of anything". What I didn't realize is that anger, my short temper, my frustration were all signs of a deep fear. I was afraid of losing control, losing security, losing significance. Instead of trying to cope with these symptoms, this chapter showed me that I had to go after the root of it all, fear.
Reading and/or listening to this book will be worth your time and save you hundreds of dollars and hours in therapy!

Breath of fresh air...

Dr. Rob Reimer is unique in this day and age of ‘do it myself’ Christianity; the lifeless kind.
His reliance on the Holy Spirit, his honesty over his own journey and his willingness to go to the hard places to chase after God are nearly unmet in other authors. His voice is one that makes me want more of Jesus and I am not sure there is a higher praise I can give.
Listen and read everything he has and I would be shocked if you could not say the same. He has been a lifeline in a very dry season. He consistently points to Jesus. And that is all we ALL really need.

Amazing

I read this book in a day. I couldn’t put it down . Rob is so on point of needing more of the God’s Spirit during these days.

Love this book

I went through the Soul Care book along with Warring with Wisdom by Dawna DeSilva and got so much freedom, thank you. I feel this book offers the same and more practical steps keep hearing and sharing.

Powerful

I really enjoyed this book. I like that the author himself reads it. He is clear and the pace is perfect. This book is not too long nor too short, just the right length.
